New Museum of Art
We Are Reaching Our Destination!
In October 2016 the Museum of Art/WSU launched the plans for its new Museum. With the launch “a commitment to excellence” became more than just a turn of phrase, it became very real. Soon the demolition crews will begin taking down the first floor of the old safety building and slowly replacing it with a new facility reflecting the life around it and inviting new adventures inside its six galleries.
We have achieved our goal to begin to build “a stunning piece of architecture” in the heart of campus, with the drive and determination of Chris Bruce, Jill Aesoph and Dan Bernardo.
We have achieved our vision, thanks to Seattle architects Jim Olson and Stephan Rainville, their team, Hoffman Construction, Design West and WSU’s own Facilities Operations crews.
We have achieved our dream because of the very special help of Jordan D. Schnitzer, Jack & Jan Creighton, H. S. Wright III & Katherine Janeway, Dan & Kathy Harmon, Virginia Wright, and Cleve & Judy Borth. Their major contributions set the stage for our success and we’ve achieved it.
Most importantly, we have achieved all of this because people like you believe in what we do and look forward to our future together. You have given your support and your love to this project. Thank you.
