50 Years of Art on Campus


The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art WSU is celebrating 50 years of impact as a cultural center for art, education, and community. Alongside an evolving museum program, the museum’s permanent collection has grown to include over 4,000 art objects. In addition to the exhibition The Art of Food: From the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation, which is on view at the art museum from August 20th through March 8, 2025, there are opportunities to explore the museum’s collection through the exhibition Your Collection: Faculty Remix on view January 14, 2025 – June 28, 2025 and to learn about its history on the WSU Pullman campus.

Samuel E. Smith Center for Undergraduate Education

The bulk of the museum’s Marian E. Smith Glass Collection is housed in the Samuel E. Smith Center for Undergraduate Education. This vibrant collection is on permanent display for students, faculty, staff, and visitors to enjoy during their daily activities on the Pullman campus. The collection highlights some of the most influential glass artists of the Pacific Northwest.
