Join us on Friday, November 8th for a unique tour led by faculty from WSU’s Art Department

COMMUNITY PERSPECTIVES TOUR with David Janssen Jr., Scholarly Assistant Professor, Department of Art, WSU Pullman
12:00pm–1:00pm
Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art WSU

Join Scholarly Assistant Professor David Janssen Jr. for a teaching artist’s perspective on select works in the current exhibitions, including the work of Corita Kent featured in Your Collection: Celebrating 50 Years. Open discussion among tour participants will be encouraged throughout the tour and will be facilitated by Kristin Becker, Curator of Education & Programs.

David Janssen Jr. enjoys communicating with others through drawing, painting, collage, and typographic experimentation. He creates paintings with found objects, designs posters, and publishes zines, merging a passion for graphic design and a variety of 2D media. Mixing processes and materials—both by hand and digitally—is a rewarding challenge that keeps his creative process forgiving, heartfelt, and unpredictable.

COMMUNITY PERSPECTIVES TOURS invite individuals from our campus and wider community to speak about their unique interpretation of several works in the current exhibitions, charting connections among art, personal experience, and different disciplines.

This tour is free and open to the public, with donations welcome.
