SUMMARY:2025 | Tour & Family Friendly Activity: "The Art of Food" and National Nutrition Month
DESCRIPTION:In observance of National Nutrition Month\, join us for a tour and family-friendly activity\nFamily-Friendly Activity & Exhibition Tour\nSaturday\, March 1\, 2025\, 10:30am-12:30pm\nJordan Schnitzer Museum of Art WSU \nIn observance of National Nutrition Month with Pullman Public Schools and Pullman Parks & Recreation Department\, join us for a drop-in family-friendly art activity between 10:30am and 12:30pm\, and a tour of The Art of Food exhibition beginning at 11:00am. Staff and students from the WSU Horticulture Center will join us at the museum during this program\, as well as Jessie Campbell\, Nutrition Services Supervisor from the Pullman School District\, and Martha Flores\, a registered dietitian with WSU Dining Services. \nFamily Friendly Activity: Collage Garden\n10:30am–12:30pm\nJoin us for a collage-making activity engaging themes of gardening and community\, with K-3 ages in mind. Older children and adults are also welcome to participate. One adult from your party should remain with children and young adults at all times as they participate in the activity. This is a drop-in program\, you may join us anytime between 10:30am-12:30pm. \nExhibition Tour: The Art of Food\n11:00–11:45am\nJoin a tour of selected artworks in The Art of Food\, From the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation\, with National Nutrition Month in mind. Open discussion among tour participants will be encouraged throughout the tour\, led by Kristin Becker\, Curator of Education & Programs. \nFree and open to the public\, with donations welcome. \nThese programs are part of the 2025 National Nutrition Month Food Connects Us community events series in collaboration with Pullman Public Schools Healthy Meal Incentives Grant and Pullman Parks and Recreation Department. See page 29 of the Pullman Parks and Recreation Winter/Spring Activity Guide for a full list of Food Connects Us events in Pullman. Additional funding for the programs at the museum is provided by the David G.
