About the Museum of Art

Mission

The Museum of Art is committed to enriching the community life of Washington State University, the region and the nation by providing meaningful encounters with creativity and innovation.

To accomplish that mission, we raise funds from a variety of sources in order to:

  1. Advance creative research and provide recognition to the contributions of artists and scholars.
  2. Extend knowledge and inspiration through exhibitions, books, public programs and aggressive outreach.
  3. Provide a lasting legacy of benchmarks in the development of the visual language through our collections.

Goals

  • Achieve national prominence with our exhibition program.

  • Provide a premier educational and transformative experience for students.

  • Double the level of endowments and annual giving.

  • Undertake the facility expansion and renovation.

Monday - Saturday
10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Thursday open until 7 p.m.
